As the new maps in Hythe’s car parks were proving so popular, it was thought that two old signs could be brought up to date to offer the same message.
Accordingly, the out-of-date map in Red Lion Square was repainted and a new map affixed, offering visitors – and especially those arriving in Hythe by bus or coach – a comprehensive view of what Hythe has to offer. A second old map, which once stood outside Waitrose, was also repainted, fitted with a new map and installed in Portland Road car park.
This brought the total number of maps in and around Hythe to 11.
